Tuesday the 4th of June, 2019, café Lokaal opened its doors to welcome the Singer Songwriter Cirkel Haarlem for their Open Mic Night. Gwan Brandhorst started the evening with a protestsong. He supported Jasmijn M. Helweg on guitar and ended his set with a new cover.
Rob Wtenweerde completed three new songs that day to test in the evening. As Rob Alphenaar was presenting the night and taking care of the technique while sharing advise about beer and running the bar… Rob W. managed to slip a forth song into his set. This was amazing as he sang about how tired he was earlier! It was an evening of firsts. Ruben Bausch challenged himself by doing two firsts in one week. He participated in the monthly jam session in Lokaal for the first time last Sunday. At the Open Mic Night it was just him, his voice and guitar on stage as a second first.
Frederik Petzoldt and Ma Ai Ke, also know as Frederik and the Immortal Blackbirds, spend time in Crete, met a fellow musician and together worked on their music. They shared the great result with support of Jorinde Raps. Sarah Koolhaas also brought two firsts… a new song and it was the maiden gig for her brand new guitar!
