The Eleventh Open Mic Night of the Singer Songwriter Cirkel Haarlem was presented by Anouk on March 7, 2017, at Café Briljant in Haarlem. Pien Van de Rest is the best reason to be on time as her jazz should not be missed. Dick Pels seamlessly build on Piens opening with songs about a garden in London and the Iron Lady which is not a song about a gal who looked stunning in the Daily Express. Who almost went to London is Richard Cejer, but a lady kept him here and that’s why we could enjoy his show. You and The Sky is a three men band from Leiden. They work together for about month in the current formation. It’s a well oiled machine and a joy to listen too. Gwan Brandhorst was challenged to write a song. He already translated a song and this time he wrote up to date lyrics to a Joe McDonald classic. It fit like a glove. Cher and her song Believe made the Auto-Tune popular for transforming the voice in stead off correcting the it. Gwan and Judith Wesselius showed that the song doesn’t need any electronic enhancements.
The improvised vocal improvisation group To The Wolves closed the evening in style with Gwan, Anouk, Judith, Gaulli, Max and You and The Sky.
