December the 4th was the last Open Mic Night organised by the Singer Songwriter Cirkel Haarlem in café Lokaal in Haarlem in 2018.
Frederik Petzoldt opened the evening with reggea and psychedelic music. Ma Ai Ke supported him with vocals, finger snapping and the shaker egg. Gwan Brandhorst shared songs by Bob Dylan.
A MysterE visits the open mic from time to time, but you never know when. He shared a good set of his own songs. Thomas Triemstra started with a cover and continued with brand new songs!
Rob Wtenweerde recently launched his album. At the party to celebrate this milestone Dutch Cassidy and Mark Werkman were two of the artist supporting him. For those who missed it, like me, they did the encore in Lokaal. Mark Werkman shared covers writen by artists who wear hats.
Ma Ai Ke was supported by Jorinde Raps on vocals and David Leuverink on cajon. Her summerstyle music got extra sunshine with Frederik on flute. Jasper Schalks, who hosted the evening, makes creating music look easy. He shared three songs within 24 hours of writing them like they are on his repertoire for months.
